METALEX 2017 - ASIA'S LARGEST TOTAL METAL WORKING SOLUTIONS EXHIBITION

22 - 25 November 2017
BANGKOK, THAILAND

Now in its 31
st year, Metalex is now Southeast Asia’s largest international machine tools and metalworking technology trade exhibition and conference which spans 64,000 sq ft of exhibition space at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC).  In 2016 it attracted 90,516 visitors. This year it is looking to host over 3,300 brands and 11 country pavilions, and numerous conferences and seminars. For further information please see: www.metalex.co.th.

The EIA has reserved space in the state of the art new exhibition hall (hall 99), in the same location as last year and will build a Great Britain Pavilion themed Pavilion as before.

The EIA would advise that at present the Department for International Trade (DIT) funding is yet to be confirmed for the Metalex show this year and we have therefore negotiated with Reed Tradex, the Organisers, a special space rate for UK exhibitors on the UK Pavilion of US$500 (£404) per square metre, saving US$50 per square metre. This price will include the e-Marketing Promotional Package

Therefore the cost of a stand on the UK Pavilion will be US$ 660 (£533) per square metre which will include space, construction, lighting, furniture and UK signage. A space measuring 9 square metres will cost US$5,940 (£4,791) plus US$250 Registration Fee + 7% tax.

(Prices converted at US$1.24 - £1)

The management fee will be £450 + VAT for members and £550 + VAT for non members of the EIA.

We will advise companies immediately should the show be grant supported which would offer companies £2,000 - £2,500 towards the above costs.

DIT can assist the more experienced exporter through their EXPORTING IS GREAT CAMPAIGN with guidance on selling online overseas, routes to market, export opportunities, finance for export, shipping and logistics, and customs and licenses see: https://www.exportingisgreat.gov.uk/regular/

The EIA are currently working with Lloyds Bank and will be able to offer UK companies the opportunity to access contact information of local potential buyers of your products. Searches are made through HS numbers, keywords or searched products. Companies can then invite these contacts to their stands at the exhibition.

We hope that this proposal will be of interest to you.
